Where Silver Tears Do Rust

The Lone Soldier...2002.

Arm yourself with honesty
Stand proud and do not cry
Arm yourself with courage
Lest you'll meet with your demise

Cut your way through the snake filled vines
Crawl across the burning sand
Brave the harsh winds of reality
Hold your hearts blood in your hand

You will receive no purple heart
For your wounded spirit, friend
Your battle, as well as yourself
Shall be forgotten in the end

Cry out in the darkness
Cry out in the chilly night
There will be no allied forces
To join you in your fight

Drop now, your machete
Drop now, your loaded gun
Your battle's all but over
And still, you stand alone

Disarm yourself of courage
Cast honesty aside
Brave the harsh winds of reality
You've met with your demise

The snakes, they have descended
Their poison fills your veins
Do not cry out in the darkness
No one knows your name

You will receive no purple heart
For your wounded spirit, friend
Your battle, as well as yourself
Shall be forgotten in the end

Disarm yourself of courage
Cast honesty aside
Brave the harsh winds of reality
You've met with your demise...
