You Are...2001
Yesterday, I thought of you
O'er and again I saw your face
Understanding filled your eyes of brown
Alas, I felt at peace
Remembering a special time
Entangled spirits, we
My heart, then it cried out for you
Yearning for how it ought to be
Look into my sad, blue eyes
Overlook my imperfection
Vow to hold me in your heart
Entice, but do not mention
My many years of needing you
Yet in silence, it be known
Love has embraced my fantasy
I am no longer alone
Fill me with your wisdom
Embrace my girlish dreams
My dreams may ne'er be realized
Yet, they are cherished, just the same
Truths that must be hidden
Racing fast, my heart, be still
Until between now and forever
"Till God frees me from my hell
Held safely in my Fathers home
Where the angels dwell...
