 If the mist...

If the mist would just disappear…
Thinking one thought at a time,
Not a million, trillion after thoughts,
Destroying my peace of mind.
Not a thousand different choices,
Thrust into my brain…
Not another bridge to contemplate,
From the truth… to what's insane.

If the mist would just disappear…
Showing clear the road I'm on,
Lighting up the intersections,
That show where I go wrong.
Where the lines are seen clearly,
In darkest night or day.
I just wish the mist would disappear…
So I could see clearly the way.
