I wish I could walk a mile in your shoes
Because yours are really nice,
Costing hundreds of dollars
And made from alligator skin.
I'd rather walk in your shoes because
You are chauffeured about in fanciness
And you've never suffered for a moment.
And then, there is I.
My shoes are ragged, shabby, and old.
I get them on sale at Pay-Less Shoes,
Buy one get one free.
They had only cost six dollars plus tax.
My shoes have never seen fancy,
They have only walked around in hopelessness.
Nothing is safe for me and I always suffer,
But at least my life is different
And not one in the same out of a million.
