I tried to touch your heart
But instead I dealt to it a final blow
I can't live with the pain I brought to you
So my love....now I will go

I am sorry I couldn't prove it to you
So true the words I spoke this time
Of love and laughter and peaceful dreams
It wasn't just another silly girl's rhyme

So now that the damage has been done
I have only myself to blame
For I turned love into bitter hate
So now I must simply go away

Forgive me love for what I am about to do
This pain inside...I must come to know
In my life I only needed someone like you
I'm sorry for what it's worth...now I will go
