Life's Riches
I need to let go of some yesterdays, for it is the tomorrow's that comfort me so, fear within is an overpowering source, and it's fear itself that can lose its course. Some of the things I say and do, don't come out the way I wish them to, no harm do I mean to cause to you, for it's you I'm most thankful to. To Mother I give my most grateful love, for all of life's riches she's bestowed upon me, knowledge of life and endurance to go on, head held high and peaceful as a dove. No children of my own was I able to bear, so to you my brothers I will always be fair, for gifting me your children I can call my own, and their great love they have always shown. Never no harm do I wish anyone to bear, coming from someone who loves you so dear, for I will strive and continue to gear, on inner strength forever lasting clear. What will be is allowed by believing, as we gather to ask the Lord's blessing, and are thankful for all His granting, life's riches to hold as an armor shielding. I shall never give up or dare to let go, no matter what I will always love you so, for as long as there are Country Roads, they will bring me home to Where I Belong. I give thanks to Thee forever more, on this gracious Thanksgiving Day, and to all of whom can also say, The Lord's Prayer each waking day. Yana Petkov 27th November 2003 * * * * * * "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, And lead us not into temptation, but delivery us from evil, For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever," Amen Vote for this poem |
