Shadow
I sat alone- days gone by
Shadows play on the red brick wall
And Quiet River flows on…
She knows summer slipped into fall.
No identity she has anymore…
Crescent moon floating on the river
Touches her rose lips, her purple cheeks
Entire night we sit together.. for ever.
Of cluster of trees, of rain drops
Her love speaks through her mind
Feel the earth, touch the green
Wet in sweat, her life is a hard grind
Her pain melts into blissful silence
Not that someone thought to be
All my heart, all my mind is here
My sin is always before me
Why she resides on my mind?
Stiff challenges, so many hurdles…
Open eyes, gone are stormy dark night
Left me in a nerve of bundles.
Gopal Lahiri…
