Tragic

Cut short the life he was supposed to live
sixteen took his life or was it the pills?
It was all a blur the night I found out
it was never supposed to happen, no not like that
I feel cheated, never got to say goodbye
even worse I don't know where is soul is at
is it lost somewhere never to be found
or in his last moments did God intervene and make it
alright somehow?
I am so mad because you ruined our plans
no graduation ceremony just a bunch of white roses
and all I can do is stand here and hold them
because you are not here
what went so wrong? did you feel like you couldn't go on?
you were so gifted but your torture was self-inflicted
couldn't see past all the misery
now all is left is a grave that bears your name
it's all we have left and that is what is tragic.
