A Poem concerning given another chance to please God.
I glimpsed across the gulf Wondering who I'd see I saw my family at church Once, a place I neglected For, I was too busy you see. But, once I learned of God When I was just a child I refused the gospel call The seat's back I held and I never stepped into the aisle. Many times, I obeyed Satan Rejected God's inviting song Now, I feel sorrow and pain For, death is near, not long. Each time I refused God and Heard, "Oh Why Not Tonight?" Oh Lord, Why did I deny you I asked myself-- With all of my might! For, just to see Heaven Oh, what a glorious sight! Why was I so stubborn So selfish, and uncaring Allow Satan to hold so tight? As I woke this morning My wife said, "It's Sunday I must go to worship. And I guess you'll not go To you it's just another day." Remembering my dream.... I quickly said with haste "I'm going to church--- For, another day, I'll not waste!" Rom. 1:16 "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: or it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
