Roots
I wonder past the bamboo hut
She happens to be there
Her brave eyes light on me.
Ethnic and cultural wealth
Sunlight radiant on rocks
I look beyond her soul.
The roof-top restaurant is airy
Furnished with native rosewood
Serving spring rolls and grilled fish.
A little further along
Monsoon swollen land
A temple crowned with umbrella.
A long boat trip together
Amazing panoramic view
Memories to last lifetime.
The Hooking of river fish
The tiger spotting in the forest
Crocodile sunning themselves.
Dreams of exploring
Her lovely nimble fingers.
She said in a hushed tone
All my roots are here.
