Broken Arrow

(Written from a lovestruck heart)

A tiny wooden arrow
Feathers softly pressed
Aiming for its mark carefully
Hitting the bullseye on my chest

Looks of love filled my eyes
Walking now ten feet in the air
Struck down by a broken arrow
Writing poems of love so fair

An ode to him I sing today
Morning doves simply coo along
A wildflower wreath crowns my hair
Dreaming of arms to hold me strong

Letters in the sand on a perfect day
Cupids arrow certainly didn't miss
Dancing in clouds way up past nine
Seeing his face and blowing a kiss

So look out dear hearts...
As you walk alone in the wood
Cupids got his eye on you
And trust me his aim is good
