Sad Eyes Follow Me

I'm telling you this now
And please believe it is true
I try to help everyone
In the things that I do

But there's a point when I struggle
So I try to be all I can be
I try to heal all the pain
When sad eyes follow me

What gives me this right?
Why do I do what I do?
Can there really be so much healing
In the words I love you?

I've thought about this
And the answer is yes
Those words healed my heart too
And this I must confess

So I give to him a smile
Bringing him something to believe
I'll whisper to him "I love you"
Until sad eyes let him be

And if my words that I say
Just simply will not do
I guess then my dear
I have something to prove

I'll bring out my heart
Just to let you see
That there's no need for sad eyes...
When you're here with me
