Poetic Verses
Giving Heart
From the depth of mine truest loving heart
I'd, for thee, traverse all water or land
For thee, I'd set all others far apart
if I'd hear only thy one question grand
Thy words take me where no love hath before,
as thy hint of commitment unto me;
yet comes nothing to bind our true love more,
no lock yet turned by just one simple key
Not one abode wherein together dwell,
not one in sharing forevermore true
No peel to hear of sanctuary bell,
in years left to our mortal lives too few
Oh, giving heart in my bosom so deep;
if asked, I'd vow my all for thee to keep
11-15-03
I'd, for thee, traverse all water or land
For thee, I'd set all others far apart
if I'd hear only thy one question grand
Thy words take me where no love hath before,
as thy hint of commitment unto me;
yet comes nothing to bind our true love more,
no lock yet turned by just one simple key
Not one abode wherein together dwell,
not one in sharing forevermore true
No peel to hear of sanctuary bell,
in years left to our mortal lives too few
Oh, giving heart in my bosom so deep;
if asked, I'd vow my all for thee to keep
11-15-03
