Dying to Meet You
As tears of compassion flowed down my face
I knew I had to leave this beautiful place
As the angels bowed as I went to the womb
Knowing my ending would be an empty tomb
When the time came I was the Son of man
I begin healing all the sick in the land
I was hated by many without a cause
They all persecute me without a pause
I carried your burdens and sin to the cross
I did not want you to be forever lost
There so much I want you to know
I left my Spirit so you could grow
I know this is hard for you to understand
Why would I do this for a sinful man
Why did I choose to leave the blues
Because I was dying to meet you
I knew I had to leave this beautiful place
As the angels bowed as I went to the womb
Knowing my ending would be an empty tomb
When the time came I was the Son of man
I begin healing all the sick in the land
I was hated by many without a cause
They all persecute me without a pause
I carried your burdens and sin to the cross
I did not want you to be forever lost
There so much I want you to know
I left my Spirit so you could grow
I know this is hard for you to understand
Why would I do this for a sinful man
Why did I choose to leave the blues
Because I was dying to meet you
