Ren's Pen
Man in the Mirror
The man stands in front of the mirror
And his eyes are open more clearer
His hands cover his face
If only his past could be erase
I stand there looking at the man
Watching the hourglass fill up with sand
Who is this man I wondered
I stood there and began to ponder
What have I done good in my life
And how it was full of strife
Trying to see past the flesh
Wanting to start a fresh
The old man hits his knee
As he begins to plea
What have I become
And He accepts God's Son
Looking for my redemption
Seeking for His salvation
Bowing down on one knee
Accepting the One who died for me
The new man looks at his reflection
He sees the one with perfection
His eyes are staring amazed
As he begins to praise!
And his eyes are open more clearer
His hands cover his face
If only his past could be erase
I stand there looking at the man
Watching the hourglass fill up with sand
Who is this man I wondered
I stood there and began to ponder
What have I done good in my life
And how it was full of strife
Trying to see past the flesh
Wanting to start a fresh
The old man hits his knee
As he begins to plea
What have I become
And He accepts God's Son
Looking for my redemption
Seeking for His salvation
Bowing down on one knee
Accepting the One who died for me
The new man looks at his reflection
He sees the one with perfection
His eyes are staring amazed
As he begins to praise!
