Fear…!Even the strongest of the strong… Experience fear in their life, And though at times it seems trivial, It still causes upset and strife. We really think we are that tough, That we can work through any trial, Even me, I thought it too…But now, Well now I face that one last mile. The only problem is though… Before I'm on my ‘home run,' I have to work things out in my head, And work through what he's done! Fear… Things are said and you don't know… Whether it's true or not, All we know is sometimes… In our heart, we've been shot. You have a jig-saw puzzle in your head, And there are pieces here and there, All jumbled up, all over the place, And nothing seems quite fair. You suffer insurmountable pain, And there's a hole where your heart should be, Destruction is the name of the game, No light at the end of the tunnel you see. Fear… Your emotions are all over the place, You can't see the wood for the trees, This thing, this trial, this, whatever it is… Has brought you to your knees! It's not always ‘our' fault though, But more the fault of another, so you see, We don't always have to take the blame, Because black and white is never all you can see! This terrible pain I carry in my heart, Is truly tearing me in two, My heads a mess, I'm so confused, And I don't know what to do… Fear… Everyone tells me it's not ‘my' fault, But more…the fault of HIM! And yes, yes, I know it's true! It's totally all ‘his' sin! But my pain is as deep as the river, My heart is scattered over the widest sea, My head is wrecked don't know how to deal… With the hand of pain that's been dealt to me. This jig-saw puzzle in my head… Is throwing confusion to my soul, And where there was a forgiving heart… Is hardened like granite stone! Fear… Fear…oh God, what a terrible thing! It cuts deep into your heart… You think it will never ease, And from it you'll never part. My fear is so out of sight, It's as wide as the sky so blue, It's all consuming, all threatening, And I don't know what to do? Why, oh why did he do what he did? Why am I suffering so bad…? Why can I not feel hatered for him! Why am I so very sad? Fear… Fear, that's why, in the depths of my soul, And emblazoned into the recess of my mind, Panic sets in, will I ever win? And peace...will I ever truly find? God help me, I hope so I do! I pray for it day and night, It's slowly, slowly tearing me in two… And forgiveness is so out of sight! He's broken an unbreakable heart… And caused this heart such pain, And do I know why? No, I don't! And trying to fathom it is driving me insane! Fear... Why, why, why? Everyone ask! Why did he do this to you? Why did he destroy this unbreakable spirit? Why, tell me what did I do…? I trusted the man that I loved, And I gave him my heart and soul to keep, And now he's caused such pain and fear, This unbreakable heart will forever weep… Tears in abundance, so many tears… Will this damn ever stop its flow? God help me please, I'm begging on my knees... Help me to let this pain and fear go…! Fear… Fear, a feeling so strong… An emotion so harsh, it cuts like a knife, And no matter how strong I am, Will I ever again have peace in my life? Yes, eventually for I never concede… And for peace I hope for that too! For I will rid the pain from my heart and mind, For anything less won't do! I'm strong, yes, and I'm tough, But I'm not immune to hurt and pain… I've had a major catastrophe in life... But I swear, it will never happen again! I won't allow it…this thing called… Fear…!!!
