ThanksgivingWithin the darkness of a going away lies the light of another day So relax and set your mind at ease, there's beauty in life and all we see So when you awaken to a rainy day, Do not let the gloom dismay, Look past those clouds of gray, God has blessed you with rain today And if your caught in a traffic jam, Do not let all those cars be damned, Turn the music to a peaceful sound, and behold the beauty all around If on the arrival of an autumn day, when the glory of summer is far away, give thanks for the falling leaves, and watch them blow in the cool breeze And if thunder might drown your laughter Catch the flash of light thereafter, Look up there's always peace above, Discern the whiteness of a dove Rejoice in the greatness of creation, And be thankful for this, one free nation Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
