How Can I Say...
So much bottled up
words lose their meaning
the path taken is my emotional journey
I have never had so many strong feelings
until now and everyone that was in my crowd
separated and faded and you were the last one standing
I thought I could write something special
but you with I am speechless
the words stop somewhere between my brain and my mouth
so how can I say I need you when the words won't come out
I thought I could make it on my own
independent woman or so I am told
but that gets old and along the way I noticed all the happiness
that I left or didn't have the time for
is what I wanted at the end of the day
so I am running and looking for you
I don't care how long it takes I will find you
the only problem I haven't overcome is saying these few words
that will set me free, so few but so hard
the truth can't be contained
to much at stake
so how can I say I love you if the situation stays the same?
back and forth my mind waffles
but I can't hold back this time the words will come out.
