Calm Before The Storm

It's the dawn of a new horizon
Sky in a hue of darkest red
It's just the calm before the storm
Feel the clouds forming in your head

Another day spent on thunder
Another day with a fall of rain
Another day with lightning crashing
Another day of life with pain

Cascading down its symphony
This gale that just blew in
Perhaps I should run for shelter
And I will find it here within

Away from....
Another night without sun
Another night void of breeze
Another night all alone
Another night with tears for me

So as the sun slips into the sea
I face The storm that calls
And I cry as it pours down on me
In its gusts and winds and all

Waiting for...
Another morning that I've made it to
Another happily ever after
Another rainbow bringing me back to you
Another sunshine bringing rapture

As rain ebbs ever softer now
I know this storm in time will go
And I'll heal like the beaten earth
Like the flowers ...
This rain will only help me grow
