The Shepherds VisitA Christmas Messenger While watching over their flock one night, Appeared a star that was shining so bright; It positioned itself overhead in the sky, Making the shepherds a just little shy; For as they looked at the star that night, An angel of the Lord gave them a fright; The angel reassured them be not scared, "I bring you great joy for to be shared; In David's city this day a savior is born, With swaddling clothes for being worn; A baby named Jesus lying in a manger", An angel choir sang with the messenger; "Glory be to God and peace on Earth, Praise is to God for our Savior's birth"; Talking about it when the angels went, Saying,"We must go to see this event"; Off to Bethlehem the shepherds did go, To see the marvel of the new born beau; They came to the stable as the angel said, Not really knowing what's in store ahead.
