So Close

There is something so close
But still so far out of reach
Like grasping for constellations
Standing on a deserted beach

You reach out to touch it
Longing for it so much
But try as you may
It still eludes your touch

It's as clear as the day
You have it in your sight
Now if you could just find a way
Then everything will be right

Stretching your arms out
Standing upon your toes
It's getting closer....
Nope, there it goes

But you cant wait for a star
To just fall into your lap
You've got to keep reaching
Even if it takes all that you have
