The Christmas Gifts

As we settle in this Christmas
we must not let the busle of season
take our minds away from the real
gifts of reason.

While everyone stood in awe
before them laid a King Of royal degree
but no robes or kingdoms then
could anyone stand and see.

The only gifts given showed
preparation of His burial at birth
none could understand or even
start to comprehend it's worth.

For the Messiah had been given gifts
Of death's destiny to adore
bringing Salvation to us freely of
His own humbled accord.
