Renew a Right Spirit

Psalm 51: 10 - 13

I asked God for a clean heart to create,
One that all temptations would alleviate;
As well as renewing a right spirit within,
That would be completely free from sin;
I pleaded to God of never casting me away,
And for the Holy Spirit be allowed to stay;
I look forward to restoration of the joy,
With His salvation for my spirit to deploy;
To be able to teach transgressors His way,
And converting sinners to stop going astray;
Remembering it can improve your disposition,
When you are faced with another opposition;
When your emotions cause you to be selfish,
Which makes you really act more childish;
And when you become irritable and crabby,
You will start appearing extremely shabby;
Do not allow yourself ever to deteriorate,
Have the Holy Spirit enter you to activate;
God renews and restores your inner control,
Start anew to get out of your cubbyhole.
