Only after she opened her eyes
Only after she glanced at me
Only after she cried in silence
Only then I could realize
Her journey to life begins to an end.
Those lovely eyes I yearned for
Those beautiful hands I touched
That musical voice I heard so long
It will never be same
Of her knees got creaky
Of her black hair gone forever
Memory has begun to die
Of her beauty and courage
Of her face- a case study of delight and defiance
Of those glowing images burnt into my brain
Everything turns into a blur
Of dusty roads and cloudy nights
Of forgotten faces and jumbled numbers
Picture of her - chained by anxieties
She cannot go further in life
For a moment breaking free-
I lost in her dream
I know she will be here, there
And perhaps everywhere.
