Powerless
No matter what
each smile is matched
by each tear I have cried
thought you were out of my system
I guess there is no simple goodbyes
sometimes I think you are gone
but here you come taking over again
I thought I was strong
but when it comes to you I am powerless
as if there was any doubt
I can't seem to overcome the void when you left
so I always let you back in
but it's always the same old thing
nothing has changed only time
that I know I can't stop
I just feel so powerless
darling you always bring me to my knees
I know I should stay away
but you are all I ever see
the cycle continues...
