"The Marooning in Brown"
opaque veil brown to blue
then back
pulls thru centre gravity
within that hidden circle.
the you is novel; a dark shroud,
shrouded in its
blink: tight silk scarf eyes.
the feel darker still,
yet
soothing.
soothing air,
soothing lilt,
watching, forever watching
with scent-filled eyes
that begin their fill.
knowledge is the painting
from which they sip.
rustling summer leaves
sound her calling
warmth on fur grey,
majestic splendour in silence
is her note;
slip they do upon white
leaves many,
touch cool her whispers
in translation.
