 Cynthia's Home of Many Things

Drowning (part 1)

It was a bright summer morning.
I called a few of my friends up
to see if they wanted to go to the beach.
I was making lunches and
filling the picnic basket with snacks.

There was a knock on the door.
I went to see who it was.
I flung the door open, it was the
friends I called.
I ran back out to the kitchen,
gathered everything up and
headed out, off to the beach we went.

After about an hour or so of driving,
we finally got to our destination.
Everybody piled out of the car,
gathered everything up and
headed down to the water's edge.
What a great day to be at the beach.

We set up the blankets, the umbrella, set the
cooler and picnic basket down and
ran into the water.
We decided to stay for the day.
