He was my baby, my joy and my pride,
The real light of my life,
my soul inspiration;
He was the best thing
that ever happened to me,
My prized possession,
my cherished gem in this world.
I was about to give up
life’s judgment and tribulation,
Because I was betrayed,
no one seemed to care a bit;
But a Border Collie/Bernese Mountain dog
came in,
Ever willing to be my friend,
ever ready to stand by me.
He was always there,
so faithful and courageous,
His authenticity and unconditional love
did touch my very heart;
My pet was one-of-a-kind
loyal canine companion of mine,
Whose shoulder I wept upon
when the whole world turned its back.
He made me extremely happy
for almost four years and a half,
He was great and smart,
ever forgiving and affectionate;
He really stood out from the rest,
the apple of my eyes,
And I will always love him
for the rest of my life!
Now that he’s gone life has to go on,
I know,
But I learned many lessons
when he left me behind;
Yes, I still grieve so much
as I do miss him a lot,
But I’ll live by his legacy
so his spirit can go on.
