And They Can Honestly Reveal My Pure Intention

This allegorical verse was originally composed
     in my own language,
Of which sundry Filipinos
     appreciate the recapitulation
     jotted down earlier;
But I hope you can also feel the same the way
     they had before,
So you’ll very well know that my love for you
     is true and pure.

Better inquire the sun above
     about my sincerity and affection,
And the king would reveal
     how I admire you so much;
You can also ask the silvery moon
     how I miss you a lot,
And such global light
     would disclose my affection
     just for you alone.

Even the stars would surely divulge
    it’s my first time
    to love someone this way,
They can honestly tell the secrets
    of my being in love with only you;
You’re the only one in my heart, on my mind,
      in every day of the year
And I will always be in love to no one but you
      for the rest of my life.
