When on stage,
I'm in another world
My soul takes flight!
The power the depth captured
Through my voice can be heard
They ask me why aren't you in Nashville?
Why you still here singing
Been there done that just not my thing.
Fame may be nice but never lasting,
Glamour over whelming!
A shadow to often easily taken for granted,
If it is so destined so be it
not necessarily what I wanted
All I want to do is sing share my passion my soul,
Wherever it may be I'll keep on singing my goal,
My dream if I should reach the top not to hit the ceiling!
I am a song bird by nature how I share best my feelings,
Perhaps my songs will never reach beyond these hills
Surely have and will move the souls it's reaching,
One thing for certain this songbird will keep on singing,
Blessing God for the gift he has given me the joy I feel in sharing,
As long as he inspires a song the urge in my heart and soul
I'll keep humming.
