Did you ever feel the shame
when you knew it was not your blame
As you walk along the street
Scared to look up, keep on stairing down at your feet
Eyes burning holes in my back
Feels like they are set for attack
Voices whisper in my ears and behind my head
Filling me with disspare filling me with dread
A white gaunt look on my face
Showing the humiliation, feeling the disgrace
How can I hold my head high and proud
Feeling alone but in the throng of a crowd
I was not to blame , but all the feelings with it came.
The feeling of burying my head in the sand and hiding from all the shame.
