Mystery

I can't put my finger on it
it eludes me but I won't stop
the aura thats around you draws me in
can't or don't wanna pull out now
no, not when I am this close
it's like I am touching the face of an angel
yet I don't know totally how you do it
I guess it might forever remain a mystery
you reveal yourself little at a time
like pieces of a puzzle
but you leave them for me to decide
it's confusing but intriguing
my heart skips a beat it's like you know what
I am thinking on the inside
the right words spoken at the right time
keeps me right here stuck in moments
constantly replaying in my mind
yes you are my own private mystery
a thick skin with many layers
peeling away all the excess
to get to the core
where I know a beating heart awaits for me to hold
I will be gentle, I promise I won't drop you
but first you must fall....
