My Night Prayer
Lord, watch over me this night
as I come to you in quest
I pray your gentle arm will confort
as I attempt to lay and rest.
Keep me in Thy safety of
a restful slumbered peace
may all my anxiety's fall
will sweet release.
Lord, help me find tomorrow
and start it off a new
I pray I can be of service
to do what you want me to do.
But, if by chance tomorrow
never climbs to it's peek
then I pray in your arms
will my soul only seek.
