A Diamond In The RoughI dream of having family Wish for fortune and fame I bet if you ask a million others They would say the same I dreamed of having children I finally had two I think of all the women out there Whose child dreams don't come true Why are babies grown Their mommies giving birth Just to be here shortly Then taken from this earth Children are so innocent Taken advantage of But all they truly need Is lots of mommy's love Next time you see your child Hold them very tight And think of all the children That never make it through the night Tomorrow is never promised This we all should know So take that extra minute To let your children know That they truly are a treasure A diamond in the rough and that you'll always love them Even when times are tough Copyright 2004 Denise Clark Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
