THE FAIRIES
It’s the fairies so they say,
Things that happen are so strange,
Objects disappear at night,
Bits go missing out of sight.
The fairies came to visit me,
I know they’ve been can’t you see? ,
That chair has moved across the room,
Fairies have been playing too.
In the dark hours of the night,
In my house they take up flight,
Flying in and out the rooms,
They sit upon the flower blooms.
So when your child sneaks out of bed,
Yet should have been asleep instead,
In the morn when daylight falls,
They’ll tell you “fairies mum, it’s cool”.
