Single Rose

A single rose
sits on the table,
a beautiful rose
it is,
a long stem,
velvety petals,
awaiting to be
put into a vase.

The dew drops
still lay on
the petals,
they glisten
in the sun,
fresh from
the garden,
a single rose,
beautiful elegance.

It gives off
a lingering scent,
the aroma of a
freshly picked rose
is outstanding.

The single rose
sits on the table,
awaiting to be
put into a vase.
