Memories of Life

Inspired by Chaplain Larry Barry's Sermon

We have new memories come every day,
Most good while others rather throw away;
Remember that very first day of school,
Remember learning to swim in the pool;
Remember when you had that blind date,
How about the time to work you were late;
Remember the first time that you kiss,
Remember the first day of wedded bliss;
Your bride getting mad and locks the door,
How about the time with going off to war;
Then coming home to see your first born,
The day of your father's death, you mourn;
Remember with your new car's first dent,
Remember by-pass surgery you underwent;
God knows our memories better then ever,
Within his book they'll be lasting forever;
Our daily lives having a tendency to forget,
The great sacrifice that God paid our debt;
Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me",
The day before He was nailed to a tree.
