I sit beside a quite stream and slowly reminisce,
Memories of the times we had and how you will be missed,
My eyes shut tight, the sound of silence brings a peaceful calm,
That consoles me through this sad time.
And I realize that though I can no longer touch you,
I will always be able to see you in my mind’s eye,
You will never be far away from me,
And I will always be able to talk to you.
I love you Nan and will always remember,
The love you gave to us all,
So lay your head down sweet lady and rest in peace,
For the suffering has stopped and there’s no more pain.
For Nan you’re now free to dance and sing with the angels,
And when heaven opens it’s doors for me,
I’ll join you in your arms in paradise,
