Jeannettes Reply To Catherine's Poem.

Me no brackets - She (with brackets)

We Walk The Walk, But Where Will We Go?

We walk the walk, but where we will go?
(Somewhere I cant follow)
For in truth, only the Lord God will know!
(And if he does he'll not show)

But we strive forward and struggle on,
(Only to find the day is gone)
And will continue until our life is done.
(And guess what we've not had much fun)

As we tarry along the way,
We collect things here and there.
(But do we really want them in our hair)?

A bit of this, a lot of that,
And things that we fear!
(Just makes us cry one more tear)!

But onward we push, walking in pain,
(wishing I had a bed in which to be lain)
What do we get, what do we gain?
(no –one else to blame)!

We gain insight to things within our life,
(will it make you reach for a knife)?
That helps us deal with pain and strife.
(Perhaps you should reach for a new life)!

We are from the puzzle that God deemed for us,
(proved a poser and now I'm concussed)
And we fall into place, no quibble or fuss.
(cos if we didn't we'd be in a truss)

But our head is battered, our hearts are blue,
(and I gave up wanting anything new)
And in very bad times, we don't know what to do!
(So give it up, cos I don't have a clue)

So on we plod along in the journey of life,
(what are we, husband and wife)?
Putting faith in God, and so easing our strife!
(doing so is easier than choosing the knife)

You like me are full of pain and woe,
(that's a shame, face like a Po)
And both of us don't know what way to go.
(So just lie down and say hey ho)

So we keep our head up, and face each day,
(Well I would if I had my say)
And deal with it all, come what may.
(That is for another day)

You say you wish you could help me out,
(Yes but I'd have to shout)
Well be sure you do, there is no doubt.
(Well I can hardly do nowt)

Yes many a tear you have seen me shed,
(Yeah just about made me take to me bed)
But I will never give in, not until I'm dead.
(You and me both we choose to live instead)

I'm strong and determined, solid and true,
(strong as steel shiny and new)
And you my dear Jeannette - are like that too!
(Not many like me, far too few)

We are one and the same in our hearts and head,
(Gently round us you have to tread)
Can relate to each other it has to be said.
(Just as well we aint wed)!

But don't you worry or fret for me,
(cos I really shouldn't be)
For I really am, a toughie you see.
(That's the truth I'm on bended knee)

I will always prevail, until the end,
(Remind me I've an email to send)
When peace and contentment become my friend!
(And you will always mend)

God has plans we don't know of,
For both you and me,
(perhaps we will one day be free)
We will have to have patience and wait and see.
(Not if I have chance to be)

For the day will come when all will be revealed,
(Until then our nerves are steeled)
And not until then, will we really be healed.
(We have to live with the cards he has dealed)

So tarry away on through life, like me,
(and finally you may actually be free)
And stay strong and focused and let us see what we see.
(Only you and me will get that key)

The puzzle of life is confusing and mixed,
(It just sticks)
It causes us strife, and we feel betwixt.
(Something broken and something fixed)

But never re-trace the steps that you tread,
(just stay behind or keep to your bed)
Only look to the future, and always ahead!
(Hold his hand and you will be led)

So smile a smile and ease your heart and mind,
(Into a field that's mined)
And only then, will peace you find.
(The idiots should be fined)

We lean on the staff of our God when we ail,
(Watch out for that rusty nail)
And never once, will his strength ever fail!
(Makes out for a pretty tale)

So lean on Him when you must, and always know.
(That is if he ever does show)
He's at our side, no matter where we go!
(And does he really want to know)?

Bask in the thought that He's on our side,
(if he is I'd best hide)
