Unsettled skies of blackened clouds,
Winds blowing swirling round and round,
Rubbish flying through the air,
Leaves are dancing here and there.
Children crying in the street,
With water flowing around their feet,
Rain is pouring from the clouds,
With mighty force it hits the ground.
Then suddenly a blinding flash,
Lighten strikes a tree trunk cracks,
Follows up tremendous roar,
Thunder trembles through the floor.
Time after time flashes and bangs,
Is this the end of existence for man?,
Yet all the time I stand and I wait,
For the thunderous lightning I think it is great.
Then after a while skies fall to calm,
The storm passes over beyond watchful eyes,
Only faint trickles of thunder to hear,
In the distance where storms fill people with fear.
