Someone Left an Angel (A Christmas Poem) #47
Someone left an angel on top a Christmas tree, An ornament of hope neglected aimlessly... It must have been a child who left her there in haste To forget such treasure was certainly a waste. I thought in my conscience if I might write a lore About saving angels, how my ego would soar... But as I stood in gaze, a bum came passing by And the fallen angel in beauty caught his eye. He grabbed the precious nymph and placed her in his sack And walked away in glee without e'er looking back... Now, you may ask yourself, “Why did I write this poem?” Simply for this reason, all angels need a home. -Lighthouse Bob |
