Poems of Lighthouse Bob
Open Your Eyes #65
Open your eyes and look toward me And you shall see-- Fishing ships upon the deep blue sea As tides roll on what seems to be Visions of eternity... Open your eyes and look to the west And you shall confess-- Life's beyond beautiful at its best And who could ever dream of less Than natural light's sight impressed... Open your eyes and look to the east And you shall find-- Visions innumerable in which to feast As luminary banquets of your mind Materialize in true kind... Open your eyes and remember this day As your day set free-- The blind man knew as mud washed away That Jesus spoke authoritatively, “Open your eyes and look toward me!” -Lighthouse Bob |
