The Cupboard Under The Stairs...Poor Tigger's Plight...Again!!! The little minx drives me insane! But I love him, yes I do... Because he's sweet and lovely too! He's always there when I get home, And never do I feel alone! He doesn't shout or upset me, Cos he's a little star you see! BUT... Under me stairs there's a hole in the floor, The walls are a mess, and there isn't a door! I said to me landlord to sort it out, But all he did was give me a clout! ‘There's mice down there!' The mouse man said, ‘Some are alive, and some are dead!' Oh blimey oh riley! What do I do? Cos really and truly - I aint got a clue!' You need to block up that hole in the floor, And you need to put in a ruddy big door! So I told me landlord and begged and pleaded, But sadly for me, my words weren't heeded! So I let me cat go down the hole in the floor, And I wondered if I would see him anymore! I mean it's as dark as dark can be… So how the hell is he going to see! Tigger, I shouted over and again, He was having fun, I was going insane! So up pops his head from under the floor… And as for me I couldn't take any more! ‘Get out of there Tigg's!' I shouted to him! But to tell the truth, I'm sure I saw him grin! I tried to coax him, I tried all day, But it was apparent he wanted to stay! Later that night, he peeped out of the door, And out he came, and I gave him what-for! Then I got a fella to sort out the hole in the floor, And then I got him to fit a flippin' big door! So now after all that trouble - I'm relaxed, For Tigger certainly – my mind did tax! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
