Workings Of The Poetic Mind Part 3

Defects Of The Wall:

So now you've really done it
You've pushed everyone away
Yet still you sit there crying
Regretting the words you didn't say

You built a wall up strong and tall
Meant to never let anyone inside
Until your pain and stress lay duly spent
And your heart did heal with time

So now here you are all alone
With bricks and mortar in your face
Wishing you had someone to hold
Dying to find your way out of this place

Yet you locked yourself in to tight
You cast a shadow onto your only sun
You stumble wearily in the dark
Wishing this construction had never begun
