Act of Betrayal
For that old faded midnight
Reeling through endless summer
Its infinite realms contain
A streak of my pain and anger.
All wretched and distrust visage
Or closed me fast into poison death
And still, signs of life appeared
Scorching flame erased all my faith.
And wonder we could care
Tumults of raging sea
That laid him upon the floor
But if I must afflicted be
An act of betrayal
He has often led me to a wrong path
And cut me by the face
In shades of darkness hide my wrath.
I dropped in a darksome dense pit
With water to brim
The dew was still fresh and juicy
The sun rose grim
Undaunted mind, I did recollect
One two faulty step aside
As something loudly shouted
Not to counter, took it in my stride.
Hung him up before the gale
In my eye -streamlets did flow
My resolve flourished like trees
And firm the root in below.
