The Day You Moved Away

I cried alot of tears that day
I didn't want you to leave,
but you didn't have
any other choice,
you and your little sister
hung around with me,
we played for the entire day.

The time seemed to fly right by
the hours were counting down,
I knew it wouldn't be long
before you had to go,
I had to say goodbye
to my childhod friend,
but I didn't know how.

You and your sister
came over to my grandparents house,
to give them both
a kiss and a hug,
I never left your sides
I followed you both
back to your house,
I fell apart inside.

All three of us
gave eachother hugs,
I watched you leave the driveway
in your car,
I didn't want to believe
I would never be able
to see you again,
I stood in the driveway
crying,
remembering my
childhood friend.
