Never Going It Alone

Many times, we seem to be wrapped up,
In earthly matters that grow and develop;
We try to leave it for ourselves to handle,
When something unforeseen could kindle;
By the time we see that we're in too deep,
It's like a quicksand that we cannot leap;
Why is it we wait until the last moment?
Then look for a solution or for judgment;
Is below our standards in seeking out aid?
Or are we too proud or are we just afraid?
Too often we look for the easy way out,
Then after a while we begin to have doubt;
Maybe all seems so good, but before long,
Suddenly it backfires and goes all wrong;
Then an utter chaotic mess starts to erupt,
As you find your entire lifestyle disrupt;
No need for you to burden all of the weight,
When your Heavenly Father can evaluate;
Ask Him for advice while you are in prayer,
Then hear in a clear mind for Him to share.
