Poems of Soldiers
Whom I fight for
I don't fight for the politics
I don't fight for the moral rights
I don't fight for the flag of stars and stripes
I fight for the arms which welcome me home
I don't fight for the rebels
I don't fight for the survivors
I don't fight for myself
I fight for the safety of my sons, and his sons after him
I don't care about the pain
I don't sense the danger
I only feel the heat of what I do
pouring through my soul in meaning
I hear the call of my death sing
but nothing can blunt my heart
my strength may fail but my courage will not
If I cant fight for one person in this world
Then I fight for nothing
