She knew tears like no one else could,
She knew sadness, and feelings,
A head that is reeling.
The smell of grief,
A head held in shame,
She begrudged no one, she knows your name.
She knew the fear
That threatened your heart,
She knew the tear
That ripped us apart.
She knew no anguish,
Unless it was that of others.
She was pure and wholesome,
The kind you rarely see these days.
Fancy, suave, a good natured heart,
I believe it is her who is falling apart.
She rides in the night,
On a horse, bareback, no saddle.
A struggle, some strife, an all ending fight,
She came screaming to me,
Claiming that death was what she needs.
Twice in one week,
She comes to me to seek
A death from this world,
Because, as she tells it,
It's only gonna get worse.
What once was a beautiful girl who knew tears
Was now a frightened girl who knew only fears,
And that made me want to hold her more,
Feel her tenderness,
Tell her that everything was okay,
Although it is not.
Yeah, everything is falling a part,
She still thinks she can heal it all
Before the world
Has a downfall.
Still, she is no more full of power than
You or I.
She sees none of the terror,
But still, we believe her fervor.
She had the good graces to always ask why.
