Don't be fooled by cheap imitations, cuz, there are a lot out there!
Don't be fooled by cheap imitations, cuz, there are a lot out there!
I read these words once upon a time in my life and ever since that day,
My mind is a flow of constant thought about who is real and who is not.
I don't know if I can toggle these thoughts back and forth for long
For every day I wake up in the morning, I feel a sickening thud
In my gut. I suppose that could be a gut feeling that something bad
Is bound to happen. I don't trust my own body to give me warning signs.
All I can do is stand here, appendages akimbo, deciding my future through
Various board games. I can win at monopoly, lose at pictionary,
And I find that when I play outburst, I am the only one trying so maybe
I'll major in smarts and words. Sounds a lot more sensible
Than the clothes I have to wear day in and day out because my life
Couldn't afford to get richer. It's all fake; it's all a ruse.
All life is a laughingstock to the people in heaven. They laugh when
We guess wrong and so few of us have ever guessed right (in the meaning of life)
That they have no idea of how to react.
They simply put on a fake, glistening smile, take your soul away
And determine what to do with the next fool who claims to have found
The truthful way; the right way.
